About the WilliamsF1 BMW FW24
WilliamsF1 (formerly Williams Grand Prix Engineering) was founded in 1977 by Frank Williams and Patrick Head. After a challenge and success filled twenty-year period, the alliance with BMW in 2000 proved to be a formula for renewed and rapid success. With its characteristic aerodynamic devices and angular form the FW24 does not look so different from its predecessor, the FW23. However, the resemblance does not do justice to the extensive fine-tuning of insufficient mechanical grip and other solutions on previous weak points.

Though retaining a 90-degree bank angle of the FW23 machine's BMW P80 engine, the BMW P82 engine of the FW24 has taken power to an all-new level. The new HP livery (reflecting a change in sponsorship) was seen from the 10th GP in England, and was also marked by structural improvements in aerodynamics. This latter version featured pontoon side surfaces that dramatically converged toward the rear wing. The rear and front wings also evolved to incorporate 3D surfaces for enhanced aerodynamics.

The suspension arrangement of the kit perfectly replicates that of the actual WilliamsF1 BMW FW24 with its side deflectors and cooling air ducts on the brake discs. Brake discs and calipers come as separate parts in order to increase accuracy. Parts to represent wheel nuts when wheels are removed are also included in the kit and are to be used when representing the car's ongoing maintenance.

A maintenance scene straight out of the box
Thanks to the stands included in the kit, you can easily recreate a maintenance scene. The engine is to be directly mounted on monocoque frame to replicate the structure of the actual car.
