It has disappeared regrettably for lightning in July, 1944 though Horin-ji Temple Three-Storied Pagoda was famous as three towers of Asuka as well as Horyu-ji Temple Five-Storied Pagoda and Hoki-ji Temple Three-Storied Pagoda.
The tower that had been rebuilt in 1975 was restored to original shape by as many as three layers that had been changed in Edo period.
