PORSCHE 962C / TAMIYA Sports Car Series No.233
The 1987 Norisring 200 Miles Entrant When you talk about endurance race cars, the advanced version of the Porsche 956C which debuted in 1985 quickly comes to mind. This superb racer had a horizontally opposed, six cylinder water-cooled twin turbo engine, with improved widen wheels. Furthermore, from the latter half of 1986 and 1987, the Porsche 962C had a twin-clutch gearbox (PDK) installed for a smoother gear change action. The Shell Porsche 962C which was only seen at the end of the 1987 season at the Norisring 200 Miles at Nurnemburg, had a similar color scheme to its previous Rothmans livery.
